What is Grafana?
Grafana is a platform for interrogating and visualizing data from connected sources. Can bring together graphs, tables, maps and indicators in dashboards, with filters and time intervals.
Grafana keeps all the data instead of the database?
No. In the usual configuration, Grafana interrogates sources such as Prometheus, Loki or SQL databases. The collection, storage and preservation of the history shall be determined separately for the project.

Can Grafana be used for business data?
Yeah, if the sources and the interrogations are right. We can display volumes of transactions, developments and operational indicators; for financial reports or management analysis we compare also the Power BI variant or a customized interface.
Can you connect multiple data sources?
Yes. We check the existence of the connectors, the data structure and the necessary permissions. The compatible sources may include Prometheus, Loki, PostgreSQL and other databases or services, through the corresponding connectors.
Can the solution be integrated into an existing project?
We inventory the sources, the data format and the frequency of the update. We check the connectors, the access allowed and where the restrictions apply before building the panels.

How are Grafana's dashboards protected?
We set up authentication and access according to the edition. Source restrictions and data separation are checked separately: concealment of a panel is not a security limit alone. We can limit access through VPN when the project demands it.
Are all functions available in the free edition?
No. Some reporting functions, advanced permissions or connectors depend on the edition and licences used. We set these requirements before the tender.
How do you check that implementation works?
We compare the indicators with the sources and test the interrogations, filters, alerts and access to representative data. We check the display on the mobile, the delayed information and the uploading to the estimated volume.
What costs should be foreseen in the long term?
We separate the configuration and development of infrastructure, storage, licenses and operation. The volume, preservation of history, users and functions of the chosen edition influence the costs.
